Dear Maximuscle,

I have to say this e-mail has been a long time in coming. The only reason I've been putting it off is because it seemed like such a daunting task with a "where do I start?" kind of feeling!

Here goes!

I am nineteen years old. My two passions, and I am passionate about them believe me, are martial arts and professional wrestling. For the last fifteen years the only thing I have ever wanted to do is wrestle. Oh, yeah, I'm five foot ten and weigh 154 lbs - eleven stone. Hmm. Basically, I have been training with weights for four years and exercising for ten plus.

I started in the martial arts when I was nine. I was just so mesmerized by the images of the great wrestlers, the martial artists, and the amazing feats they performed. I wanted so much to be like them it was harmful. I fell rapidly into the overtraining trap. I'm not talking about being at the gym 6 days a week. I mean cycling to and from school, doing martial arts every day, and spending hours doing intense stretching. Then, when it was between 11pm and 1am, thinking, "got to do weights or I'll never grow!" So, I'd get to bed about 3am, then get up at 7am to do it all again.

Except Sunday of course.

That was rest day so I only did aerobics, stretching, bodyweight exercises, knuckle conditioning and the punchbag.. Hmm. As you can imagine, friends and family worried for my health. I got every illness going, fell asleep all the time, ate about two meals a day (soggy sandwiches, not healthy ones) and everything was suffering.

Zip forward a few years and I've dropped out of college. Training at 2am was just too important, which is what I had to do when I started working full time and was leaving the house at 7am, commuting for nearly two hours, and getting home at 7.30pm. I was too tired for breakfast, never made up lunch and had to choose between dinner, or workout and no dinner because I was just so tired

Looking back, I was probably close to a breakdown or something. I was so far removed from my social group, and had pretty much lost my friends from being so self -destructive. My family weren't impressed either. I felt I had hit rock bottom and then it had caved in on me, socially, academically, professionally, emotionally and physically.

When I was at college, every penny I had went on Progain - which wasn't very many pennies by the way! The only time I felt comfortable enough in myself (other than as a teeny child!) and my body to even dare to wear a t-shirt in public (brave I know) was when I was using Maximuscle stuff.

Sounds stupid, corny, cheesy, whatever I know but it's the truth. Over the years I had tried so many different supplements that I was just sick and tired of wasting money, not knowing if something had in it what it said it did, or if it worked. I was so depressed I wanted to cry. So I did. A lot. Then one day, actually, I kind of just thought how sad I was. How much I hated who I'd become. How I was a disgrace to the very people I had tried to emulate. I thought how weak my mind was so I decided that day (and I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing) I was going to change.

In a nutshell, I left the job I HATED (it's okay, they hated me too!). I went to my old tutor and pleaded with them to let me back into college. Obviously, not impressed with my performance (or lack thereof) last time, they were reluctant but agreed on the condition that at the first sign of trouble and I was out!

Anyway, I went back to college and completed my A levels. I returned to my roots and joined the martial arts class I originally started with under my original instructor, and after more than three years of overtraining, under eating and simply not sleeping, I began to hit the weights.

Currently I am studying at Essex for my degree in English. I have regained my enthusiasm for training and life in general and am very happy with where I am headed. Maximuscle literature played a big part in helping me on my way, alongside other motivational books like those of legendary Geoff Thompson. Not just in the information but in the philosophy behind them. The real, "stop sitting around and feeling sorry for yourself, get out there and do it" approach.

That really struck a chord with me, not just in training but in all aspects of my life. I have very low body fat - I do a lot of activities you see and am naturally ectomorphic, and have only maintained or lost weight for years. However, this year I read a copy of The Get in Shape Guide. I actually sat down and thought "I am nearly twenty years old. I am NO closer to achieving my life's goals than ten years ago. That makes me sad."

So, I planned a diet consisting of 5meals a day (one is a Progain) and when I can afford it, some Creatamax 300. I train with weights 3 times a week for one hour, abs and warm-up included. I stretch on the days I don't train with weights, and do martial arts no more than twice a week.

Basically, in four weeks, Progain and Creatamax helped me put on 8lbs of muscle - this is after being on a suitable diet by the way! I now feel confident and happy in myself and where I am going and will continue to use Maximuscle supplements, advice and literature to help me do so. Maximuscle's realistic, no-nonsense approach and dedication to products that work is refreshing and amazing.

Such are my physique improvements since adding Maximuscle supplements to my now high-protein, high carbohydrate, high-essential-fatty acid diet that my mother has used Thermobol in her fat loss quest, my dad is now on Progain and has started weights for the first time in his life (he's nearly 50) and my girlfriend wants to use them for energy when she dances. A big, big thank you to everyone at Team Maximuscle (I know you must be bored by now!) for everything you've done and continue to do.

I am on a very tight budget, but then again, how can you put a price on your dreams? I am going back to basics to put on 30 pounds over the next three years with proper eating, training and rest.

It is a lot of weight for me, but with the added mass, my martial arts skills and adopted Maximuscle attitude to life, I believe I can make it in the world of sports entertainment!

Thanks for taking the time to read this, hope you weren't too bored, and thank you for being the ONLY supplement company I trust 100% to take care of my needs.

You guys are worth every single penny.
