Anthony started his boxing career as a 12 year old in the Triple A Boxing Gym in Lowestoft.
At the age of 16 Anthony captained Great Britain's Boxing Team in the World European and Junior Olympic Tournaments. Anthony proved his captaincy by capturing gold at the Junior Olympics in 2004 where he was also crowned Most Outstanding Boxer of the Tournament.
Anthony's Honours:
In 2005, Anthony furthered his medal tally winning gold at the IABA Cadet World Championships at the 70 kg weight. A capacity crowd, which included Amir Khan and former Middleweight world champion Julian Jackson, watched the bout in Liverpool.
Anthony was then selected for the GB Boxing team who travelled to Delhi in 2010. Anthony competed at Middleweight and won a silver medal losing narrowly on points in the final.
Adding to his list of accolades, Anthony was voted Senior Boxer of the Year at the Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) annual awards in Sheffield and has picked up a bronze at the Sociksa tournament in Lithuania May 2011.
The horizon is fast approaching for Anthony as London 2012 beckons. Mental and physical preparation is key as Anthony gets ready to go toe-to-toe against the world best amateur boxers.
