"My passion for the gym developed after my university rugby career was cut short following a shoulder operation. While I missed the team aspect of rugby, the gym became my new home. However, my physique didn’t change overnight and I was pretty clueless when it came to effective training and nutrition. Fortunately, my gym was packed with seasoned gym veterans and I finally made some breakthroughs when I started following their mantra: ‘lift with your muscles, not with your ego’. Of course, the second part of the equation also needed taking care of too - nutrition and protein! As a vegetarian I struggled to find ways to get the quality protein my body needed without taking in too much junk food. Eventually, after hours spent reading nutrition books and speaking to the local ‘gym rats’, I found the key to developing my physique was eating nutritious vegetarian foods, supplemented by Maximuscle products."

Without being too deep and meaningful I use my training as a foundation to overcome so many of lifes challenges. Sound of Body - Sound of Mind. I use Cyclone, eat as balanced a diet as a busy professional life allows and train 5-6 times a week. I train for myself and the people that inspire me. The best quote I have heard of late is...“pain is weakness leaving the body”.

I love working out and try to read as much as possible about fitness and nutrition. However, the most important thing I have learned is to keep on learning. Five top tips (in my opinion) 1: Squats and deadlifts are king! 2: Meat and fish are king! 3: High and low intensity cardio. 4: Don’t forget to build your back. 5: Get plenty of sleep (that’s the easy bit). Stay strong.

I believe in putting 110% effort into everything in life. Whether it is work, education or the training, the results you gain are a reflection of the work and effort you put in. I have been training in martial arts for over 8 years now and I am always keen to learn and develop myself in new styles and disciplines. I have also been gym training for over 4 years and have dedicated a lot of time to developing my body.

I started training in 1995, back in my home country Kenya. In 2006 my wife and I came to live in England and I began to use the local gym. During the search for nutrition supplements, I came across Cyclone. After two weeks of using Cyclone I saw a big difference which gave me more enthusiasm and motivation. The products I am using at the moment are Cyclone, Progain, and ZMA

I have been training since I was 16. I’m a track and field coach to youngsters in events including pole vault, high jump, 100 and 200m. I was always keen to help youngsters develop their sporting and career potential so I trained as a mentor to youths from troubled backgrounds. It’s very rewarding to help these young people develop their self-esteem and confidence for whatever career path they wish to pursue.

I was inspired to start training 2 years ago, when I saw a Maximuscle advert in a magazine with a guy in fantastic shape and decided I wanted to look like that too. That was the first time I bought Promax and started exercising and I haven’t looked back. My success got me interested in personal training and last year I qualified as a gym instructor; turning my hobby into my first job.
