In the past I was at a cunundrum as to the Maximuscle protein bar. They are fantastic to have as you could take them anywhere and not worry about having to mix them with water before consuming. Only problem was that I had found the chocolate protein bars to be way too rich, thick and a little bitter. Now Maximuscle had managed to come up with something that has solved this little problem! The Blueberry Smoothie! It is just amazing! Soft, creamy, and buttery sweet! I love it! Only problem now is addiction...

I normally keep a bar in the car, in my bag/jacket, at work, so i'm never left short when i'm anable to eat on time, as the meal bars have everything needed to supplement your needs to fill the 'gap' until your next meal, Choc-Orange is the one to have, by far the better tasting bar. Also, very good if you have a sweet tooth or soft spot for chocolate! Slightly higher in Sat Fat than I would have liked but not bad if taken in the early part of the day

Although I don't buy these regularly I have found that they are a great aid to blitz fat loss and increase toning. My main sport is cycling so I do not look to build big muscle size on my top half(although my legs can do what they like!) and I need to avoid weight gain. I have found that if I eat one of these tasty bars each day as a morning snack for a month or so I do see significant and obvious fat loss and increased muscle tone ... obviously combined with a healthy and sensible diet and plenty of exercise. However they do seem to work well without any change in my usual diet or in my usual exercise regime, so they do add something.

I tend to use this product as part of a snack whenever i am feeling peckish as it beats the odd junk foods hands down!! The amount of protein in this product is great, which is the main reason why i consume it as it helps preserve and build muscle! It tastes great and each bar tends to fill me up until the next healthy meal which is great! The only aspect of this product which isn't too great is that it can take a while to eat, due to the size of the bar and sometimes it makes my thirsty therefore i tend to drink water with the product! Other than that, this product is the real deal!

These bars taste pretty good, they satiate your hunger and have a good protein content. They are also much easier on the guts than the 'shake' products which is another bonus. The only issue, which is the same for all nutrition products really, is that they cost a hell of a lot. Over £2 a bar. Not bank-breaking, but if you went to buy a snack bar from a corner shop and got charged £2 for it you wouldn't be happy. Even if it had protein in it. I would buy these again...though I will have to save up for the next lot.

I've been training 6 days a week since July 2010 with a mixture of weight training and cardio to lose some weight and improve fitness which was long overdue. Of course nutrition is a big part of the equation which I'd overlooked in the past. Now I've also focused for the first time on my diet moving from my old regime of 3 meals a day to 5-6 meals each with no more than 30g of carbs and 30g protien per meal. With a busy schedule preparing 6 meals can be a task but the Promax Meal bars make one of those meals easy for me. Just one bar eaten with 300ml of 1% fat milk and I get exactly what I need, and the bars taste great, especially if you are a dark chocolate fan. Combining this with Promax Diet shakes after my morning workouts and a well balanced diet throughout the day, my % body fat is on a definate downward trend now!
