Wasps muscle in to take first silverware of the season
On Sunday 9th April 2006, the final score board read London Wasps 26Llanelli Scarlets 10 as one of Maximuscle's sponsored teams - the London Wasps - won the Powergen Cup Final.
This was their sixth final win in only three years. Although it was a tough game for both teams, the London Wasps got stuck in and showed their true form, moving ahead in the final quarter to secure the trophy.
"We have a trophy in the cabinet and a place in the Heineken Cup next year. That puts us in a very satisfactory position, and we've now got a realchance in the next six weeks to up our game and be back here at the end of May," says skipper Lawrence Dallaglio
