April's issue of Runners World, see's them trialing The Viper Extreme Bar in a double page energy bar test feature, looking at taste/ ingredients/ titled " Energy Bars are a useful alternative to gels and drinks when you need to refuel. Here's what you need to know" (p.72.75) They trialed 13 different energy bars on the market, with Maximuscle's Viper Extreme Bar being one of them, also looking at bars that could be eaten easily whilst running. After listing the bar's ingredients and nutritional information, Runners World commented: "Strong apricot taste, decent crunch and easy to digest but not packed with carbs, but has enough caffeine to have a positive effect, though and the best chocolate coating on test-not disimilar to Rose's Orange Cream or Thornton's"
