Zef Eisenberg, President and Founder of Maximuscle
Zef is well known in the industry as a prolific author and researcher in the areas of sports nutrition, training and sports science. An ex-competitive bodybuilder and full contact fighter, he is also a qualified senior gym instructor, herbalist and nutritionist and has devoted his life to investigating the effects of performance nutrients and training programmes on athletes. He founded the ISO17025 WADA tests on sports nutrition products and has developed many industry firsts for the UK market. He is Vice Chairman of ESSNA and an active HFMA member, fighting against EC regulations for consumer choice.
Dr Adam Carey BSc MBBChir DFFP MRC Fel, MRCOG CCST
Adam is the nutritional expert and co-presenter for ITV's Celebrity Fit Club and Sky One's Change the Day you Die. He has 19 years experience in the NHS, having trained to consultant level inO&G with a sub-specialist interest in reproductive endocrinology and nutrition. He advises many groups of elite athletes and celebrities, including Premiership football teams and the England Cricket Board. He writes extensively for consumer magazines and has been published widely.
Dr Robert Child BSc, MSc, PhD
Robert is an internationally renowned nutritional biochemist, specialising in the integration of nutrition and training for maximum performance. Over the past 14 years he has worked with Olympic and world class athletes from the full spectre of sports. He is involved in a large number of research trials relating to training and nutrition and has published extensively on these topics in scientific journals and books. He consults for the European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance (ESSNA) and UK's Health Food Manufacturers Association (HFMA) on FSA, EFSA issues and research substantiation.
Dr Alain Regnault L. es SC., Ing. Chim., PhD
Alain has 36 years of experience in fundamental and applied natural product chemistry, biochemistry and food chemistry. Alain has worked for 16 years in various contract research organisations and 20 years in industry as R&D director specialising in sports nutrition, slimming and diet aids as well as food based medical applications. He holds several patents on unique nutritional formulations for human applications from female health to sports nutrition.
Training
Maximuscle employs a number of highly qualified sports scientists that travel the country training hundreds of shop staff, personal trainers, gym managers and more every month. Our expert team is led by Simon Jurkiw and Gwen Fitzpatrick, both respected sports scientists who ensure that the constantly evolving area of sports nutrition and product development is passed on to the trade, so they have the tools to educate customers coming into their shops or gyms. Special Ops
Maximuscle enjoys excellent relationships with the military and elite sports, such as the RFU, England Cricket, British Lions and many elite coaches and athletes. OurR&D team are often asked to formulate special products to meet the needs of athletes training in high humidity orvery hot countries, along with products based on new or novel science, that are not yet available for the general public.
